Help our Mustangs.
I saw my first wild Oregon mustangs in 2015 and have fallen greatly in love with that beauty and wildness. To help support our wild horses and the work that the Bureau of Land Management does to manage and facilitate successful adoptions, I will be donating 5% from all photography sales to the Mustang Heritage Foundation. Visit my Harney County Gallery to see some glimpses of the stunning landscape that Oregon's mustangs inhabit. If there is anything in this gallery that you are interested in purchasing that is not currently available in Photography Prints, please contact me!
Welcome to Basalta!
The foundation - the bedrock - of Oregon is made almost entirely of basalt. Many millions of years and layers of it. The magnitude of lava that flowed here is hardly comprehensible yet for me, that depth and history resonates two things: it is a heritage and a power of awe of Oregon's geologic odyssey. This is home; the magnificent landscape that inhales me and that I acquiescently become a part of. My photography starts at home in the Columbia River Gorge and radiates outward as new and familiar locations come into view.
